Loading ...Have you ever asked yourself that question? I didn’t until I stumbled upon other blogs which had this banner posted on their site specifically displaying the net worth of their blog. Nowadays you hear about major multinationals buying sites for millions and billions of (i.e. Google bought YouTube for 1.65 billion), it makes you wonder what fraction of that could you possibly make (just for shits and giggles, of course).

The concept is pretty much the same, you meet new, people, new people meet you, etc. however where it really sets it apart from MySpace is that you make money just by “using†it and if you refer people to Yuwie and they refer people to Yuwie and your pages in turn generate a ton of traffic, you can make money. Yuwie pays its members by sharing a portion of it’s ad revenue with it’s members to a certain extent.

Although the site is brand new and the concept isn’t a new thing, new sign ups don’t have much to lose by checking the site out as a case study for their own future sites as I don’t see how you can make a lot of money from this especially competing with social giants: FaceBook and MySpace. As you’ll notice throughout this blog, I have placed many Bidvertiser link advertisements in attempt to blend in with the content with the most visible one proudly being displayed right below the Ferrari Enzo marquee banner.

Fall has arrived and it’s that time when our favorite TV shows come back along with new shows attempting to capture our attentions. Tonight marks the much anticipated return of our favorite felons Lincoln Burrows and Michael Scofield in Fox’s Prison Break. Let’s hope this season doesn’t tune out to be a snoozefest like the prior seasons escapades otherwise i’d anticipate a non-renewal at season’s end.

(1 votes, average: 1 out of 5) Loading ...After weeks of public rivalry between 50 Cent and Kanye West about whose Sept. 11 album release would sell more copies, West’s “Graduation” has pulled into a six-figure lead over 50’s “Curtis” (G-Unit/Interscope), based on projections from representatives at the four major labels. Read our initial coverage of the album debuts here. That data indicates “Graduation” leads with 781,000 units, followed by “Curtis” with 603,000.
More than a week ago 50 Cent had claimed he would retire from making solo albums if West won the sales battle, but he maintains the race is still early and there is no concrete winner just yet and speculates that sales of “Graduation” will falter after the initial hype.
Fast-forward one week now, 50 Cent has now changed his tune about his threat to stop rapping suggesting on the Hot 97 radio station, if West outsells him he would instead go round for round, matching G-Unit releases with Def Jam’s. Oh have the table turns and I guess he isn’t a man of his word after all.
In likely fashion, he fails to blame himself for his mediocre release yet directs his attention to the lack of promotional prowess of his label Interscope.
“As far as the VMAs were concerned, Kanye received the upper hand. I ain’t going to front,” he continues. “He had four looks — his song “Stronger,” his new record “Good Life,” he had a performance with Soulja Boy, “Crank Dat,” and then he came out with me. So I feel like Def Jam is doing a better job of promoting the CD than Interscope. Interscope is just relying on my base and the actual music. I was on the VMAs for one minute and 20 seconds. I should’ve just stayed home.”
Kanye Defeats 50 Cent On U.K. Album Chart
Kanye West won the U.K. battle in the worldwide war of the rap superstars as “Graduation” entered at No. 1 on the album chart ahead of 50 Cent’s “Curtis.”
Meanwhile, country star Kenny Chesney has failed to outsold either artist, as many estimated would be the case, dishing approximately 232,000 copies out. Poor Kenny Chesney.
Final sales figures will be published on Wednesday (September 19) and stay tuned for further updates.

It’s been a great week long learning experience starting up this blog especially dealing with the difficulties of learning the Wordpress interface. I have had prior web designing experience so all things are coming together slowly and updates are becoming easy and breezy. As my blog’s intention is to attempt to show you, the reader, how to profit off the internet all the while being entertained with the latest news, it is my duty to list every Friday my earnings for the week.
I am still tinkering with the placement of the ads however from general feedback, the advertisements do not seem to bother most and the majority found the ads to neatly blend in with the content and layout. I still have not submitted my site to popular sites nor have applied any search engine optimization techniques and any marketing campaigns at the moment are non-existent as I am relying strictly on word-of-mouth referrals to generate traffic for the time being.

I expect this number to dramatically improve as traffic and the site grows complementing an effective affiliate and marketing campaign. Stay tuned for regular continuing status reports on my earnings.
